Start a building standards application

You must be signed in to start an application.

Once signed in:

  1. Go to My Proposals on the sidebar menu.
  2. Select New Proposal.
  3. Fill in the online form. You can save your progress and return to it before submitting.

There is guidance on how to make a quality building warrant application.

Find the right form

The building forms you'll need to submit will depend on your development. 

Use the Which Form? Wizard to find the form you need.

Estimate your application fee

Most building applications require a fee. The amount depends on the type and scale of your development.

Use the fee calculator to get an estimated application fee.

Other ways to apply

You can apply using paper forms. These can take longer to process than online applications. Some planning authorities may charge an extra administration fee for them.
